We at GLS had the honour of constructing a new pitch at the Dickerage Lane Adventure Playground, commissioned by football star Declan Rice.

Collaborating with Muller and Adidas, we transformed this cherished facility, which holds a special place in Declan’s heart. Having frequented the playground since he was two years old, Declan’s connection to Dickerage Lane is profound.
In an interview with ITV, Declan expressed his pride and nostalgia: “I’m so proud. I’ve obviously spent a massive part of my life here. I’ve been coming here since I was two years old and now I’m 25.
“It’s been such a big part of my family’s life, my brothers, my mum and dad. Walking in and seeing the people and the turnout is so special.
“It was my routine. When I was a teenager and a kid growing up, coming through those gates, I was here four or five nights a week and my mum couldn’t even get me home!
“I was addicted to the place and it made a massive part in where I am today, so I love this place.”
We at Groundwork & Leisure Services are delighted to have played a part in revitalising a venue with such deep community roots and personal significance. This project exemplifies our commitment to enhancing recreational spaces and fostering community spirit.
